Blog Thing
Today Becky informed me that I really needed to start my own blog in which I should detail my daily life. While I don't think it's necessarily that interesting, I might as well have somewhere to put the mundane happenings anyway, so here is what will become an objective view of my life. I will try to avoid putting my personal feelings on the matters in this blog, and instead save those for my journal.
I had classes from 9:30-3:45 today. At about 3:47 my phone rang as I was walking from the Dickinson building over to my end of campus. 'Twas the Ustore, calling to say that
The Skin of Our Teeth by Wilder was in, and I could come pick it up. "Sure thing," said I, "I'll be there in about five minutes." When I arrived, they knew straight away who I was and gave me my book, as I grinned like an idiot because I wanted it so. The nice older gentleman who regaled me with tales of how he knew Wilder's son back in the day was there, and we exchanged smiles before I dashed off to pay for my new book.
Having 4 hours before my audition for
Romeo and Juliet, I went back up the hill, where I putzed about until Becky and I grabbed dinner at Franklin. Immediately after I felt incredibly ill, but I had an audition in 2 hours. I met Morgan in the drafting room where we worked on our homework for a while before the audition.
At the audition, Morgan and I were assigned to do a scene with Juliet and the Nurse. I read for the Nurse, she for Juliet. Following the cold readings, we were told to get up and freestyle to music. The first piece was very stage-combat-y, so we all stalked and stabbed one another. The next was more typical club music, so we danced as teenagers are wont to do with such music.
